weight or measure or at the instance of any inspector of
weights and measures in the State of Maryland.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1920.

CHAPTER 725.

AN ACT empowering the County Commissioners of Caroline
County, in their discretion, to expend such sums in co-
operation with the State Roads Commission of Maryland
as may be necessary to build a macadam, concrete or
other durable road from some point in Caroline County
to the Deleware State line.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Caroline County
be and they hereby are empowered, in their discretion, to
construct, in co-operation with the State Roads Commission
of Maryland, a road of macadam, concrete or other durable
material from a point in Caroline County, to be decided upon
by them and the State Roads Commission of Maryland, on
the line of the Maryland State Road to the Maryland and
Delaware boundary line, upon their securing a biding agree-
ment with the proper Deleware authorities to construct a
like road from the Du Pont Boulevard, or any State road
already built, or that may hereafter be built, to a point on
the Maryland and Delaware boundary line to meet the pro-
posed new Maryland road (the point on the Maryland and
Delaware boundary line to be agreed upon between the
County Commissioners of Caroline County, the State Roads
Commission of Maryland, and the Delaware authorities) and
thus connect the Maryland State road with the Du Pont
Boulevard, or any State road already built, or that may
hereafter be built, and to expend such sums as may be
necessary to carry out the purpose of this Act.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the County Com-
missioners of Caroline County are authorized to levy upon
the taxable property of Caroline County, and to collect as
other taxes are collected, a sum of money sufficient to carry
out the purposes of this Act.
