LAWS OF MARYLAND.

owner of leasehold property conveyed to it by Charles C.
McKeever by deed dated the 28th day of May, 1867, and
recorded in Liber A. M., No. 353, folio 391, &c., one of the
land records of Baltimore city, on which its present church
edifice or house of worship now stands; and

Preamble.

WHEREAS, Said corporation desires to either purchase another
church, or purchase or lease another lot of ground for the
purpose of erecting thereon another church edifice or house of
worship; therefore,

May dispose
of property

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the "Board of Trustees of St. John's African
' Methodist Episcopal Church," be and it is hereby authorized
and empowered to sell, lease, dispose of or mortgage its prop-
erty conveyed to it by Charles C. McKeever and to apply the
proceeds thereof to the purchase of another church or to
the purchase or lease of another lot of ground, and the erec-
tion thereon of another church edifice or house of worship.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And Be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved April 6th, 1894.

CHAPTER 372.

AN ACT to repeal Section 171 B of Article 2 of the Code of
Public Local Laws, title "Anue Arundel County," sub-title
"Justices of the Peace," and to re-enact said section with
amendments.

Repeal.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted l)y the General Assembly of
Maryland, That section 171 B of article 2 of the Code of
Public Local Laws, title "Anne Arundel County," sub-title
"Justices of the Peace," as enacted by chapter 334 of the acts
of 1892 of the General Assembly of Maryland, be and the
same is hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to read as follows :

Office hours
of Justices of
the peace.

SEC. 171 B. The justices of the peace of the sixth district
shall attend at their respective offices in the city of Annapolis
every day (Sundays and legal holidays excepted) at least from
the hour of nine o'clock A. M., until the hour of three o'clock
p. M., and when notified by the State's Attorney of Anne
Arundel county, or any officer of the peace of said county, or
