SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 207.
AN ACT to amend Article twenty-three of the Code of Pub"
lie General Laws of this State, title "Corporations," sub-title
"Telegraph Companies," as the same was amended by the
Act of eighteen hundred and ninety-two, Chapter three
hundred and eighty-seven, regulating the rental and use of
telephones in the cities, towns and villages of the State of
Maryland, by adding to said Article as so amended by said
act, two additional sections, to come in after Section 232m
of said article as so amended, and to be designated as Sec-
tions 232 F and 232 G, to permit the making of special con-
tracts for telephone equipment and service in the cities,
towns and villages of the State of Maryland, and to provide
for the appointment of a commission to investigate the
affairs and operations of the Chesapeake and Potomac Tele-
phone Company and the Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone
Company of Baltimore City.
