STATE OF MARYLAND.

CH A P. 543

Right
reserved.

SEC. 19. And be it further enacted, That the Legislature
reserves the right to alter, amend or repeal this Act of 'incor-
poration at pleasure.

Amount of
risk assumed.

SEC. 20. And be it further enacted, That this company
shall assume no risk or liability for more than two hundred
dollars upon the life of any one animal.

When
effective.

SEC. 21. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall not
go into effect so as to authorize the execution of any policy or
contract of insurance by said company until there shall be
entered upon the books thereof applications to the amount of
at least ten thousand dollars of insurance.

Repeal.

SEC. 22. And be it further enacted, That all Acts and
parts of Acts in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed so
far as they apply to the corporation hereby created.

SEC. 23. And be it further enacted, That, except as pro-
vided in section 21, this Act shall take effect from the date of
its passage.

CHAPTER 543.
AN ACT to regulate the taking of fish in the waters of
Allegany County.

Unlawful to
take, catch
or kill any
black bass,
etc.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That it shall be unlawful to take, catch or kill or
have in possession any black bass at any time of a size less
than eight (8) inches measuring from the tip of the nose to
the end of the tail or caudal tin, and any pickerel or pike-
perch, otherwise known ae wall-eyed pike and California
salmon, of a size less than fourteen inches measuring from
the tip of the nose to the end of the tail or caudal tin, or to
take, catch or kill the same in any manner between the first
day of April and the fifteenth day of June in each and every
year, under a penalty of five ($5) for each of said fish so
taken, caught or killed.

Unlawful to
construct any
fishpot or
fish-weir, etc

SEC. 2. It shall be unlawful to construct in the waters of
said county any fish-pot or fish-weir under the penalty of
twenty-five dollars ($25) for each offense, and it shall be the
duty of the Game Warden or a Deputy Game Warden to
compel the owner or user of said fish-pot or fish-weir to
remove the same within tive days after conviction of having
constructed either a fish-pot or fish-weir, and for each and
every day thereafter that same shall be maintained said owner
or user of any fish-pot or fish- weir shall be subjected to a
further tine of five dollars ($5) for each and every day he
shall maintain or operate same.
