NEGATIVE.

Messrs. Blackstone, McKaig,

Franklin, Townsend,

Heckart, Watkins,

Lynch, Whitaker—8.

So the Senate refused to suspend further proceedings under
the call.

The Sergeant-at-Arms returned, and reported that he had noti-
fied the absent Senators that their attendance was required at the
Senate chamber.

Mr. Heckart moved to adjourn.

The yeas and nays being demanded, appeared as follows:

AFFIRMATIVE.

Messrs. Brooke, President; Heckart,

Bradley, Kimmel,

Goldsborough, of Talbot; Stone—7.

Goldsborough, of Dor.;

NEGATIVE.

Messrs. Blackistone, McKaig,

Duvall, Miles,

Dashiell, Townsend,

Franklin, Watkins,

Lynch, Whitaker—10.

So the Senate refused to adjourn.

The question was then taken upon the passage of the bill;

Which was passed by yeas and nays as follows:

AFFIRMATIVE.

Blackistone, McKaig,

Duvall, Miles,

Dashiell, Townsend,

Franklin, Watkins,

Heckart, Whitaker—12.

NEGATIVE.

Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.
