mines, and as the miner employed at work therein proceed
with the working of their excavations, it shall be the duty
of the owner or lessee or agent of said mines to furnish a
sufficient quantity of timber at the place where the miner is
at work, and whenever the said workman engaged in said
excavations shall deem it safe and proper to have any of the
props or timbers removed from said excavations, it shall be
the duty of the person or persons so employed by the owner
or agent, to remove the said props or timbers to whatever
point or place the workman engaged therein may require,
but no props or timbers whatever shall be removed that
might endanger the lives of any of the workmen engaged
therein by such removal."

Section 12. And be it enacted, That the mode of ventila-

dered to be engrossed for a third reading, and to be reprinted
as amended.

Mr. Phelps, from the Select Committee, reported favor-
ably,

House bill entitled an Act to approve an Act passed Janu-
ary Session, 1874, chapter 93, requiring the County Com-
missioners of Dorchester county, to subscribe to the capital
stock of the Cambridge and Chesapeake Railroad Company.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Suit, from the Select Committee, reported favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to create a new Election Dis-
trict in Prince George's county, to be known as District No.
13.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Phelps, from the Select Committee, reported favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 46, of Article
10, of the Code of Public Local Laws, relating to the town
of Cambridge in Dorchester county, as amended by chapter
175, of the Acts of 1872, and to re-enact the same with
amendments.
