the Code of Public General Laws, title "Crimes and Pun-
ishments,

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and de-
livered the following message:

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

April 1st, 1878.
Gentlemen of the Senate:

We respectfully propose, with the concurrence of your
Honorable Body, that the two Houses of the General As-
sembly adjourn sine die at 12 o'clock, midnight, this 1st day
of April, 1878.

Which was read.

Mr. Lee submitted the following message:

BT THE SENATE,

April 1st, 1878.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates.

We have received your message, proposing that the two
Houses of the General Assembly adjourn sine die at 12
o'clock, midnight, this 1st day of April, 1878, and respect-
fully concur therein.

Which was read, assented to, and sent to the House of
Delegates.

Senate bill to authorize the Washington City and Point
Lookout Railroad Company to purchase the rights and prop-
erty, real and personal, of the Southern Maryland Railroad
Company,

Was read the third time, and passed by yeas and nays as
follows:
