On motion by Mr. Gorman,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to be entitled an Act to revive the Magnetic
Telegraph Company, by amending the 17th Section of the Act

of December Session, 1846, Chapter 39, entitled an Act to
incorporate the Magnetic Telegraph Company, and by re-
enacting said section as amended.

On motion by Mr. Gorman,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to be entitled an Act to revive the Western
Telegraph Company, by amending the 17th Section of the Act
of December Session, 1846, Chapter 39, entitled an Act to
incorporate the Magnetic Telegraph Company, and by re-
enacting said section as amended.

On motion by Mr. Bannon,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to intro-
duce a bill to be entitled an Act to prescribe and define the
duties of the Comptroller relative to the apportionment and

distribution of the revenue derived from the annual tax levied
for the support of free schools, and to confirm the appor-
tionment and distribution thereof heretofore made by that
officer.

On motion by Mr. Wilson,

Leave was granted to Senators Wilson, Gorman and Hill,
to introduce a bill to be entitled an Act to repeal an Act of
the General Assembly of Maryland, of 1876, Chapter 62, en-
titled an Act to prevent the increase of gates on the public

roads of Calvert County.

On motion by Mr. Humphreys,

Leave was granted to Senators Humphreys, Dennis and

Stump to introduce a bill to be entitled an Act to authorize
the Commissioners of the Town of Salisbury, to appropriate
the sum of five hundred dollars out of the levy of 1878, to

defray the expense of a fire engine.

On motion by Mr. Lancaster,

Leave was granted to Senators Lancaster, Combs, of St.
Mary's, and Hill to introduce a bill to be entitled an Act to

allow the people of Charles County to vote upon the expedi-
ency of changing their county seat.

On motion by Mr. Sulivane,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill to be entitled an Act to repeal Sec-
