Mr. Hepbron, from the Joint Committee appointed under
Article 3, Section 24, of the Constitution, (by unanimous
consent) submitted the following

REPORT.
To the Senate,

and House of Delegates of Mart/land :

Gentlemen:—As per order of the Senate, March 6th, 1878,
on motion by Mr. Gorman, it was ordered, "That the Joint
Standing Committee appointed in pursuance of Section 24,
of Article 3, of the Constitution be, and they are hereby, in-
structed to ascertain and report to the two Houses of the
General Assembly, the amount of Bunds issued by the An-
napoiis and Elkridge Railroad Company, under the Act of
1872, Chapter 427, and to further ascertain if the said bonds
so issued have been used solely for the purposes authorized
by said Act, and to report what, if any, legislation is neces-
sarv to secure the State's investment in said road."
