OFFICE SECRETARY OF THE SENATE,
Annapolis, Md., March 11, 1878.

The following Senate bills having passed both branches of
the General Assembly of Maryland, were this day presented
to the Governor for his approval.

AUGUSTUS GASSAWAY,
Secretary.

No. 63. An Act to cede to the United States the title to
the land occupied by the Antietam National Cemetery near
Sharpsburg, Washington County, in the State of Maryland,
and to cede jurisdiction over the same.

No. 64. An Act to repeal Section 6, of Chapter 277, of the
Acts of 1876, relating to oysters and fish in the waters of
Synepuxent Bay and its Tributaries, and to re-enact the same
with amendments.

No. 65. An Act to appropriate a sum of money to pay
Walter B. Brooks, assignee in bankruptcy, of Stirling,
Ahrens & Co., for the rent of certain warehouses in the City
of Baltimore, used as State Tobacco Warehouses.

No. 66, An Act giving the sanction of the General Assem-
bly to a gift by Charles S. Parran, of Calvert County, of 75
shares of the stock of the National Mechanics Bank of Balti-
more to the vestry of St. Paul's Parish in Calvert County.

No. 67. An Act to provide for the copying of Liber B of
the Records in the office of the Register of Wills for Mont-
gomery County.

No. 68. An Act to authorize and empower the Governor to
appoint an additional Justice of the Peace in the 2d Election
District of Kent County.

No. 69. An Act in relation to the road running to Brent's
Landing, on Port Tobacco Creek, from the point of its inter-
section with the public road to Cedar Point Neck, in Charles
County.

No. 70. An Act to define and preserve the inner harbor of
Cambridge and Cambridge Creek, in Dorchester County.

No. 71. An Act to amend an Act to incorporate the Prin-
cipio Manufacturing Company, Chapter 113 of the Acts of
1867, and to change the name of said corporation to "The
George P. Whitaker Company."

No. 73. An Act to repeal Section 57, of the Code of Public
Local Laws for Prince George's County, as enacted by the
Act of 1876, Chapter 105, entitled an Act to repeal Section
