beer, within the village of Darlington, in Harford County,
or within one mile from the Academy building in said village.

Which was read the second time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Finance.

House bill entitled an Act to prohibit the issuing of any
license for the sale of spirituous or fermented liquors, at or
within one-half mile of the village of Ashland, in Baltimore
County, and to prevent the sale of all kinds of intoxicating
drinks within the above described limits.

Which was read the second time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Finance.

Senate bill entitled an Act to prohibit the granting of
license for the sale of spirituous or fermented liquors or lager
beer, at or within one mile from the village of Catonsville, in
Baltimore County.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Finance.

Mr. Combs, of St. Mary's, from a Select Committee, re-
ported favorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to divide the Second Election
District, of St. Mary's County, and to create an additional
election district in said county, to be styled the "Bay," or
Eighth Election District.

Which was read the first time.

Also, favorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5,
6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22,
23, 24, 25 and 26, of Article 18, of the Code of Public Local
Laws, title "St. Mary's County," sub-title "Almshouse,"
and to enact a substitute therefor.

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Lee, from a Select Committee, reported favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to repeal Chapter 181, of the
Acts of 1872, entitled an Act to repeal Section 21, of Article
7, of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled "Carroll
County," sub-title "Justices of the Peace and Constables,"
and to re-enact the same with amendments,

With the following proposed amendments :
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Sec. 21, line 6, after the word "four," strike out the word
"three," and insert "four;" and after the word "and,"
