ARTICLE LXVIII.
NOTARIES PUBLIC
8. Notaries may lawfully exercise
all functions of his office in
any county or city as well as
in the county or city for which
he is appointed.

10. Fifteen women notaries may
be appointed for Baltimore
city and five in each of the
counties; this section not to
apply to Washington county.

8. A notary may exercise all functions of the office of notary
in any other county or city than the county or city for which
he may be appointed, with the same power and effect in all
respects as if the same were exercised in the county or city for
which he may be appointed.

10. Fifteen women, in all respects qualified, and no more,
shall be eligible as notaries public in the city of Baltimore,
and five women, in other respects qualified, and no more, shall
be eligible as a notary public in each of the counties of the
State; provided, that the provisions of this section shall not
apply to Washington county.
