roads and crossings over said railroad at said crossings, of the
approach of trains upon said railroad.

415. The said Baltimore and Ohio railroad company shall be
liable to pay a fine of one hundred dollars for each day that it
shall neglect or fail to comply with the provisions of the preced-
ing section, one-half of said fine to go to the use of the informer
and the other half to the use of the school commissioners of
Frederick county, to be recovered in an action of debt in the
name of the State of Maryland, before any justice of the peace
for Frederick county.

416. The Frederick and Pennsylvania line railroad company
is required to keep stationed by day and by night, at the crossing
of its said railroad over the Frederick and Woodsboro turnpike,
near Frederick, in Frederick county, a flagman or a signalman,
to warn persons using said turnpike in crossing over said railroad,
of the approach of trains upon said railroad.

417. The said Frederick "and Pennsylvania line railroad com-

provisions of the preceding section; to be recovered in an action

and every day, at the crossing of its said railroad over the Fred-
