summoned and testifying before the County Commissioners may be al-
lowed a fee not exceeding the per diem now allowed witnesses in equity
cases, but no allowance shall be made to a witness attending who is brought
under an attachment.

233. When any person is summoned to testify before the County
Commissioners and shall refuse or neglect to obey said summons the
County Commissioners may immediately certify such default under the
hand of their clerk and seal of their office to the Clerk of the Circuit
Court, who shall forthwith issue an attachment directed to the Sheriff
against the person named, compelling such witness to attend and testify
before the County Commissioners, returnable on such day as may be
named in said certificate, which process shall be allowed to issue by the
Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County.

234. Authority is hereby vested in the County Commissioners to take
the testimony of any witness before them, whether summoned or other-
wise, under oath, to be administered by the President of the Board, or in
his absence by one other of the Commissioners, who are authorized to
administer such oath in the same form and manner and in all respects
to the same effect as witnesses are obligated in courts of law.

235. Every person who shall profanely curse or swear or act in a dis-
orderly manner in the office of the County Commissioners of Anne Arun-
del County while said Commissioners are in session shall be deemed to
be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof before a justice
of the peace, whose judgment shall be final, shall be subject to a fine of
one dollar and costs; and it shall be the duty of the Sheriff, Deputy
Sheriffs and Constables of said county to enforce the provisions of this
section when directed by the President of the Board of said County Com-
missioners or a member thereof presiding.

236. The County Commissioners of Anne Arundel County be and
they are hereby authorized to levy for and pay to the Register of Wills
of said county annually the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars ($150),
to pay for recording the proper dockets of administration and providing
of the Orphans' Court.
