said counties or any city or town therein within fifteen miles
of said railroad; provided, that permission be first obtained
from the Board of County Commissioners, and if in any town,
then the permission of the Town Commissioners, when such
exist, but the consent of the owner or owners of such property
shall be first had and obtained, unless the same shall be con-
demned according to law and shall have the power to connect
the same with any manufactory, public or private building, or
other structure or object, car or conveyance, and in general to
manufacture, sell, furnish and supply electric light and electric
power or stored electricity or electric machinery and supplies
for any and all purposes that may be desired or required within
the limits aforesaid; and the said corporation shall also have
the power to erect, construct, build and maintain such bridge
or bridges over any river or streams in said limits as the direc-
tors of said corporation may deem necessary for the uses and
purposes of said railway, and to use the necessary means to
accomplish all the purpose of said corporation; provided, per-
mission is first granted by the Board of County Commissioners
of said counties to use the roads, streets and other public prop-
erty proposed to be taken. Further provided, however, that
nothing in this act shall be construed as permitting the Eastern
Shore Power, Light and Railway Company to furnish electric-
ity for lighting purposes in the towns of Pocomoke City, Snow
Hill or Berlin in Worcester county, or in any incorporated
town in Wicomico county, and said company is hereby expressly
prohibited from furnishing electricity for any lighting pur-
poses whatever either in the towns of Pocomoke City, Snow
Hill or Berlin, Worcester county, or in any incorporated town
in Wicomico county.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the Capital stock of said
corporation shall be one million dollars, divided into twenty
thousand shares of the par value of fifty dollars each; and the
directors of said corporation, for the purpose of completing and
fully equipping the railway hereinbefore mentioned, may issue,
from time to time, mortgage bonds to the amount sufficient, in
the judgment of said directors, to complete and fully equip said
railway not exceeding one million dollars, and to secure the
payment of such bonds by mortgages of all or any part of the
property, rights, franchises and revenues of said corporation.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That all the interest and affairs
of said corporation shall be controlled and managed by the per-
sons particularly named in the first section of this act, or such
of them as shall accept office, as the board of directors of said
