LAWS OF MARYLAND. [Ch. TT]

all dates for racing in Baltimore county for the current year,
but such dates so awarded shall not exceed seventy days in the
aggregate, and the decision of the commission on the award of
all such dates shall be final. No one corporation or association
shall receive more than twenty-six racing days in any one year,
divided into not more than two meetings, and no dates shall be
awarded for any meeting to be held during the months of
December, January, February and March of any year, nor shall
more than one meeting be held on any one day of the year in
Baltimore county.

7. Each applicant desiring to hold races on the day or days
awarded by the commission shall be-fore the issuance of any
license, and on or before the first day of May following the allot-
ment of such days, pay to the said commission a license fee as
follows: $10.00 for each day of any meeting for the conduct of
races, up to six days, and $250.00 a day for each additional
day thereof.

8. Upon the award of clays to any applicant and upon pay-
ment of the license fee as above prescribed the commission shall
issue a license for the holding of the meeting during the days
awarded to such applicant and for which the license fee shall
have been paid which, said license shall be for all purposes in
substitution for that now required by law and shall contain a
condition that all races or race meetings conducted thereunder
shall be subject to all the rules, regulations and conditions from
time to time prescribed by the commission and such license shall
be revocable by the commission for any violation thereof or
whenever the continuance of such license shall be deemed by
the commission not conductive to the interest of legitimate
racing. But if any license is refused or revoked said commis-
sion shall state publicly its reasons for so doing and cause an
entry of such reasons to be made on the minute book of the com-
mission, and the propriety of such action shall be subject to
review by the Circuit Court of Baltimore County upon a bill
in equity filed for that purpose by any person, corporation or
association, feeling aggrieved by such action.

9. Said commission may in its discretion meet subsequent to
the 15th day of April and award dates for racing on applica-
tions submitted to it subsequent to the first day of April, pro-
vided the expense of holding such meeting and issuing the
proper license be borne by the applicant, and that the days so
awarded in no way conflict with the further provisions of this
act. And provided further that no license for a race meeting
shall issue prior to the payment of the fees therefor at the rate
hereinbefore provided.
