PHILLIPS LEE GOLDSBOROUGH, ESQ. GOVERNOR. 1199

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the waters of Dickinson's Bay, in Talbot county,
Maryland, a tributary of the Choptank river, be exempt from
the provisions of Article 99, section 2 of the Code" of Public
General Laws of Maryland.

SEC. 2. It shall be unlawful for any person at any time, in,
on or over the waters of Dickinson's Bay, to shoot at or shoot
any wild fowl from any booby blind, stake blind, floating blind,
sink box, or artificial point of any description, or to erect, set
or maintain the same in said waters, at a greater distance than
two hundred yards from the natural shore at mean low water
mark, from which the same may be extended.

SEC. 3. It shall be unlawful for any person at any time to
erect or maintain or set said booby blinds, stake blinds, floating
blinds, sink boxes or artificial points of any description, for
the purpose of shooting wild fowl in said waters above referred
to, distant from each other less than five hundred yards, meas-
ured in a straight line in any direction.

SEC. 4. It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to
erect or maintain or set a booby blind, stake blind, floating
blind, sink box or artificial blind of any description in said
waters without first taking out a license therefor, as provided
in the following section.

SEC. 5. Any person or persons residing in Talbot county
may erect, set or maintain a booby blind, stake blind, floating
blind, sink box or artificial point of any description, as pro-
vided for in this act, after first obtaining a license to do so
from the clerk of the Circuit Court for Talbot County on or
before the first day of November in each year, and said clerk is
authorized to issue said license upon payment by the applicant
of the sum of five dollars ($5.00), to be paid over by said clerk
to the treasurer of the board of county school commissioners, for
the use of the public' schools of said county located in Trappe
Election District, after deducting therefrom the sum of fifty
cents as a fee to be retained by said clerk for issuing said license.
And it shall be unlawful for said county clerk of Talbot county
to issue to any one person or to any club or group of persons
having a common interest in same, licenses to erect, maintain or
set more than two booby blinds, stake blinds, floating blinds,
sink boxes, or artificial points of any description; all licenses
issued by said county clerk as provided for in this act to contain
the name of the person or persons to whom said license is issued,
together with the number of the blind and the general position
in which the same is to be placed.
