of Calvert county and they are hereby directed to have this act
published as required by this section.
SEC. 11AA. And be it enacted, That in the event that the
Baltimore and Virginia Railroad Company shall fail to com-
ply with the provisions imposed on it by this act, that then and
in that event any other railroad company incorporated under
the laws of the State of Maryland, which shall comply with the
conditions provided in this bill shall, be settled to receive the
money arising from the bond issue subject to all of the provi-
sions imposed upon the Baltimore and Virginia Railroad Com-
pany.
SEC. 12. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 721.
AN ACT to permit charitable and educational institutions to
supply board and lodging to guests for the National Demo-
cratic Convention, without impairing the rights of such insti-
tutions to tax exemption.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That all persons, corporations and institutions, now enjoy-
ing tax exemptions be and they are hereby permitted to use
their property in supplying board and lodging and hotel accom-
modation to guests and visitors during the month of June or
July, in the year 1912, and that such use shall not impair or
in any wise affect the right of such persons, corporations or
institutions to any tax exemptions now enjoyed by any of them.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 722.
AN ACT to repeal Chapter 2 of the Laws of 1890, entitled "An
Act to exempt the waters of Dickinson's Bay and Reed's
Creek, in Talbot county, from the provisions of Article 99,
section 2 of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland,
sub-title "Wild Fowl," and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.
