CHAPTER 277.

CHAP. 279,

   

An act to confirm the proceedings of the Commissioners of

Passed Mar. 13, 1832

Baltimore county.

 

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That

Acts confirmed

no proceedings of the present commissioners of Baltimore

 

county, had, or to be had, shall be deemed to be invalid, or

 

be in any wise affected by reason of any of said commission-

 

ers, having omitted in due time or altogether, to take the

 

oath of office of said commissioners, or to make affirmation

 

in the premises, as required by law; or by reason of any

 

defect or defective act or proceeding, whatsoever, in, or in
respect of such oath or affirmation, or the qualifying of any

 

of said commissioners, for the taking or holding of the said

 

office.

 

CHAPTER 278.

 

An act for the relief of Thomas F. Ward, of Saint Mary's

Passed Mar.13, 1832

County.

 

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That

Divorce.

the marriage of Thomas F. Ward, of Saint Mary's county,

 

and Ann Ward, heretofore solemnized, be, and the same is

 

hereby declared to be absolutely,and to all intents and purpo-

 

ses, null and void, and the said Thomas F. Ward, and Ann

 

Ward, are declared to be divorced a vinculo matrimonii.

 

CHAPTER 279.

 

An act prohibiting the use of Gill Nets, in the Potomac Ri-

Passed Mar. 13, 1832

ver, and in Patuxent River, during the period therein men-

 

tioned.

 

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,

Gill nets forbid.

That from and after the passage of this act, it shall not be

 

lawful for any person or persons whatsoever, to fix, set or

 

stake out gill nets, or such like devices for the taking of

 

herrings and shad in the Potomac river, at any place above

 

the mouth of the river Wicomico, and in Patuxent river,

 

from the twentieth day of March, to the twentieth day of

 

May, in each and every year, and any person offending
against the provisions of this act, shall for every day he may
