On motion of Mr. McColgan,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to change the name and style of the Bene-
ficial Saving Fund Society of Baltimore City.
On motion of Mr. Etchison,
Leave was granted to Messrs. Etchison, Hawkins and
Stewart, of Howard, to introduce a bill to amend section 2, of
chapter 282, Acts of Assembly of 1872, entitled an Act for
the preservation and improvement of Agriculture, and im-
provement of Agriculture and the Mechanical and Household
Arts in the State of Maryland.
On motion of Mr. Fenton,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to add an additional section to Article 24,
Code of Public General Laws, title "Conveyancing," pro-
viding for the recording of contracts and agreements for
leasing sewing and other machines, pianos and other per-
sonal property, and to exempt the same from distraint for
house rent.
Also,
Leave was granted to Messrs. Fenton, McWilliams and
Loane, to introduce a bill adding an additional section to
Article 4, Code of Public Local Laws, title " City of Balti-
more.
Also,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill entitled an Act to regulate the fees of the
Clerk of the Superior Court of Baltimore City, and of the
Clerks of the several Circuit Courts of the State of Maryland,
for indexing deeds, mortgages, leases and other papers.
On motion of Mr. Stewart, of Howard,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to introduce
a bill to pay Hutchinson Brothers and others, for laying water
pipes and for sewerage for the State House and Governor's
Mansion.
On motion of Mr. Greenfield,
Leave was granted to Messrs. Greenfield, McColgan,
McAleese, Loane and C. R. Hamilton, to introduce a bill en-
titled an Act to repeal sections two, five and nine, of an Act
to prevent incompetent persons trom conducting business as
Pharmaceutists in Baltimore City, passed at January session,
1872, and to re-enact the same with amendments,
