however, that the said McDonough Charity School, a corpora-

tion, shall provide six free scholarships and six tuition scholar-

ships to students of Charles County, who shall be appointed

by the School Commissioners of said Charles County, with the

approval in writing of the Senator for that County ; and be it

further enacted, That the Treasurer of the State shall, upon

the warrant of the Comptroller of the State Treasury, pay

such sums of money herein appropriated for the objects and

purposes hereinbefore specified to or upon the order of the trus-

tees of the McDonough Charity School, a corporation, provided,

however, that before any portion of the said money shall be

so paid the trustees of the said McDonough Charity School

shall file with the Treasurer of the State a bond with surety

to be approved by him in the penalty double the amount of

the aggregate sum herein appropriated, conditioned for the

performance of the condition hereinbefore imposed as to fur-

nishing said scholarships.
