within said Corporation in good repair, the same
as though there was no Corporation, unless the
citizens within the Corporation be exempt from
county taxes, otherwise the corporate authorities
shall not be bound to keep the county roads in re-
pair within the limits of the Corporation.

Bailiff.

Sec. 6. And be it enacted. That the Burgess
and Commissioners may appoint a bailiff who shall
preserve the peace and good order of the town,
and for that purpose he shall have all the powers
of a Constable of the counties.

Son user.

Sec. 7. And be it enacted, That neglect or no
user shall not work a forfeiture of this charter.

In force.

Sec. 8. And be it enacted. That this Act shall
take effect from the day of its passage.

AN ACT to amend and re-enact section ninety-
two, Article seventeen, of Public Local Laws
for Queen Anne's county, relating to Justices of
the Peace and Constables.

ded.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That section ninety-two of Article
seventeen, of the Code of Public Local Laws for
Queen Anne's county, relating to Justices of the
Peace and Constables, be amended and re-enacted
so as to read as follows :

Number of
Justices and
Constables.

Sec. 92. There shall be the following number of
Justices of the Peace and Constables for said
county, to wit : For Election District number one,
three Justices of the Peace and two Constables ;
for Election District number two, three Justices of
the Peace and two Constables; for Election Dis-
trict number three, three Justices of the Peace
and two Constables; for Election District number
four, two Justices of the Peace and one Consta-
