empowered to lease its properties and franchises to any other
company which may own and operate a line of electric railway
connecting with, but not parallel to, the road of said corpora-
tion, for such period and upon such terms and conditions as
may be approved by its stockholders; and, also, that said
railway company may lease the lines, properties and franchises
of any other company which may own and operate a line of
electric railway connecting with, but not parallel to, the road
of said corporation, for such period and upon such terms and
conditions as may be approved by its stockholders; as, also,
to consolidate with such road or roads of electric railways as
it may cross or connect with upon such terms as may be agreed
upon between them.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That the said company
be and it is hereby authorized and empowered to manufacture
and sell and furnish such quantities of electric light and
power as may be desired for either public or private use for
lighting streets, wharves, public or private buildings in any
county or municipality into which or through which the said
line of railway may be constructed; and the said corporation
is hereby authorized and empowered with the consent of the
County Commissioners of any county, or of the officers of any
municipality through which its said railroad may pass, or

into which it may be projected, to erect, own, construct or
build lines, conductors or conduits under, along, upon or
over the streets, highways, lanes, alleys, roads or ways what-
soever of any of said counties or municipalities, situated as
aforesaid, and over, under and along any private property in
said county, the consent of the owner or owners thereof being
first had and obtained for the purpose of furnishing any
manufactory, public or private building, lamp, structure or
other object in any of said counties or municipalities afore-
said, and to use all means necessary to the exercise of the
power hereby granted.

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That the capital stock of
said company shall be provided by its original certificate of
incorporation, with full power and authority in said company
vested to increase or decrease the same in the same manner
as is provided for the increase or decrease of capital stock of
corporations under the General Incorporation Laws of the
State of Maryland, or any amendment thereto.
