distilled spirits and to re-enact said section 3, so as to
read as follows; and also to add an additional section to
said chapter 704, to be known as ‘Section 12.'"
AMENDMENT PROPOSED,

Insert before section 3 the following:
"Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, that section 3, of chapter 704, of the Acts of
the General Assembly of Maryland of the session of
1892, entitled ‘An Act to provide for the assessment and
collection of a tax upon distilled spirits,' be and the same
hereby is repealed and re-enacted, and that an additional
section be added to said chapter 104, to be known as
‘Section 12,' said sections 3 and 12 to read as follows :"
Which proposed amendment was adopted, and the bill
Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed
for a third reading.
Mr. Bouic, from the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings, reported without recommendation,
Senate bill No. 38, entitled "An Act to repeal and re-
enact, with amendments, section 9 A, of chapter 381, of
the Acts of Assembly, passed at January session, 1888,
entitled an Act to amend the charter of the Agricultural
and Mechanical Association of Washington county."
Which was read the second time.
Pending further consideration of which
On motion of Mr. Bryan,
Said bill was made the special Order of the Day for
Tuesday, February 13th, at 1 P. M.
Mr. Bouic, from the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings, reported, with recommendation that said bill be re-
ferred to the Committee on Finance,
Senate bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 679, of
the Acts of 1898, chapter 123, entitled ‘City of Baltimore,'
sub-title MisceUaneous Local Laws,' and to re-enact said
section with amendments."
Which was referred to Committee on Finance.
Mr. Bouic, from Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported favorably,
Senate bill No. 52, entitled "An Act to repeal section
205, of Article 16, of the Code of Public General Lawsof
