John Strawbridge def^t: of W^m: ffurnish late of this County deced by intermariage
w^th: Olive ffurnish the Relict & adm^rx: of the afores^d:
ffurnish to answer unto James Berry Tanner in an accon
of the Case //
And Whereas the pl^t: by Thomas Poole his Attourney Comes & saith that
he the said Strawbridge in the yeare of our Lord 1683 Became indebted unto the
pl^t: the just quantity of Two hundred pounds of Tobacco it being due for ffour gallons //
of Rum which the def^t: had of the pl^t: and did faithfully promise to pay the pl^t: in //
Provision for the same but the said ffurnish in his life time did not pay the same Nor since
his death the afores^d: Ollive in her Widdowhood hath not paid any part or parcell of the
aforesaid Sume of Two hundred pounds of Tobacco altho often thereunto required by
The pl^t: wherefore the pl^t: brings this Suite ag^t: the estate of the afores^d: ffurnish deced
And the def^t: in prsona propria Cometh and defendeth the force and injury when
&^t: and prayeth Liberty to imparle hereunto Untill the Next County Court and it is granted
him the same day is granted to the pl^t: alsoe
Now here at this day to witt the 13^th: day of June in the xiiii^rh: yeare of the Domion of
