Ordered that the Auditor General Credit Capt. Thomas Beall with the Amount of the
above Account, being £ 1397:7:6—Continental Money—

Commission issued to Rezin Davis appointed one of the Coroners of Washington County
and also to George Tubman appointed one of the Inspector of Pomonkey Warehouse in
Charles County in the room of Francis Herd Marbury, deceased.

It being represented by the Chief Justice of the second District and the Associate Justices
of Queen Anns County, that Margaret Bateman was presented by the Grand Inquest for Queen
Anns County for keeping an Ordinary three weeks, without Licence, and was fined for the
offence the proportionable quantity of seven hundred and [p. 89] fifty weight of
Tobacco agreeably to Act of Assembly, That she appears to the said Justices to have trans-
gressed innocently, that she is reputed to be an honest industrious widow woman, in extreme
indigent circumstances, and that she has for several years maintained by her own exertions,
a family of six small Children, who are yet able to render her scarcely any assistance. They
therefore recommend a remission of the said fine. The Board being satisfied that the facts
stated are true, do order and direct that the said fine be remitted upon all costs arising on the
said Presentment being paid.

The Auditor is requested to issue a Certificate for the Depreciation of pay to John Mails
late a Soldier in the seventh Maryland Regiment, and deliver the same to the Treasurer of the
Western Shore, who is Ordered to pay it to the said John Mails.
The Auditor is likewise requested to issue a Certificate for the Depreciation of pay to
William Carroll late a soldier in the third Maryland Regiment and deliver the same to the
Treasurer of the Western Shore, who is ordered to pay it to Eleanor Carroll Wife, and Admin-
istratrix of the said William Carroll.
[p. 90] Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to James Williams Adm'r of Dores
Filmot late a private of the 7th Regiment Twelve pounds ten shillings being his pay from the
1st of August to the 31st December 1780.
The following Bonds taken by Randolph B. T.atimer Esq'r. Agent are approved.
