at the same time no other method of subsisting a wife and four small children, he ventured to
continue selling liquor in hopes that his extreme poverty would occasion the offence to pass
unnoticed till he should be able to comply with the direction of the Law. But that he was deceived
in this expectation, having been twice presented and fined six hundred pounds of Tobacco, and
thirty shillings on each presentment, which he is wholly unable to pay and of which he therefore
solicits a remission, And the Petitioner being recommended by four Justices of the Court afore-
said as a fit Object of Clemency, the Board in consideration of his entire incapacity to pay the
said fines do order that they be remitted on his paying all Costs arising thereon.
