on the Order of Messrs. Willing Morris and Swanwick of the 9th.
August last, for so much advanced, including Commission of 2 1/2 per
Cent, to William Harrison and Nathaniel Ramsey Esquires Dele-
gates in Congress and also to the said Messrs. Carey and Tilghman
the further Sum of One hundred and eighty four pounds, ten shillings
on the Order of the said Willing Morris and Swanwick of the 24th.
October last for so much, including Commission, advanced to John
Henry and Nathaniel Ramsey Esqrs. which Sums are to be charged
to the said Delegates.

That the said Treasurer pay to George Murdock Esqr. two
hundred and sixty seven pounds, fourteen shillings and seven pence
specie agreeably to the "Act to adjust the Debts due from this State"
per Account adjusted by the Auditor General to the 12th. February
last 1782 [sic].

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning 11 o'clock.

[p 184] Thursday 7th. December 1786

The Council met.

Present His Excellency William Smallwood Esquire.

John Davidson Esquires.

James Brice Esquire elected a Member of the Council, appeared
and qualified before Nicholas Worthington Esqr. One of the Justices
of Anne Arundel County, by taking the several Oaths required by
the Constitution and Form of Government, and Laws of this State,
and making, repeating, and subscribing a Declaration of his Belief in
the Christian Religion Certificate thereof filed.

Ordered That the Western Shore Treasurer pay to Lieut. Colo.
Uriah Forrest Thirty three pounds, fifteen shillings for three Months
half pay due the 1st. Novr. last.

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning 11 o'clock.

The Council met.
