That the said Treasurer pay to Henry Emerton thirteen pounds,
three shillings and four pence of the same Emission due him per
Account adjusted. —
That the said Treasurer pay to John Knowell ten pounds five shil-
lings of the same Emission due him per Account passed. —
That the said Treasurer pay to Alexander Contee Hanson Esqr ten
pounds, eighteen shillings and three pence of the same Emission for
the use of William Hobbs per Account passed.
That the said Treasurer pay to Capt Robert Denny one hundred
and fifty pounds of the same Emission to be advanced to Soldiers who
have been in Captivity and Accounted for. —
That Mr Benjamin Griffith Commissary of Baltimore County de-
liver to Capt George Keeports three thousand bushels of Wheat
It appearing to this Board by an Order to Capt Jacob Brice on the
Commissary of Stores of the 11th August 1781 for a suit of Cloaths
and four shirts, that no part of said Order has been satisfied, it is
returned. —
John Johnson is appointed Commissioner to settle and adjust the
Accounts of the Officers and Soldiers of this State in the service of
the United States on the refusal of William Wilkins who was di-
rected to go to Camp by a Resolution of the General Assembly
Richard Wilison Esqr appointed Commissary of Provisions of
this State agreeable to the " Act to raise the Supplies for the year
1782 " in the room of Thomas Richardson, who has refused. —

This is intended to countermand the Orders contained in our Letter
of the 30th Ulto

[Council to William Wilkins Esqr]

We are sorry that the Situation of your Family will not permit
your going to the Southward immediately. The Resolution of the
Assembly on the Subject being positive, and it being absolutely neces-
sary that the Officers and Soldiers should be possessed of their Cer-
tificates, in Time to avail themselves of the Law intended for their
Benefit, " directing the Sale of Lands for Officers Certificates &ca
previous to the 1st of July next," we have it not in our Power to
consent to the least Delay in the Settlement of their Accounts, and
have therefore appointed Mr John Johnson to succeed you, to whom
you will deliver over all your public official Papers.

Mr Stephen Steward, to whom the Spanish Dollars were delivered
by Capt. Martin, has directed them to be restored, to our Order, and
as we had Nothing in View in commencing the Suit against Capt.
