Thursday 20th December 1781.

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Capt Robert
Denny five pounds of the Bills emitted under the Act for the Emis-
sion of Bills of Credit &ca of the money appropriated for the present
Campaign to be delivered over to Thomas Bishop a soldier lately a
prisoner in Charles Town South Carolina on Account
That the said Treasurer pay to Thomas Sprigg Esquire five
pounds, four shillings and eleven pence of the same Emission of the
money aforesaid to be delivered over to Nicholas Hawky due him per
Account passed by the Aud. Genl. —
Commissions issued to Benjamin Boyce and Thomas Gassaway
Howard appointed Coroners in Baltimore County. —

[Council to Majr Ignatius Taylor.]

Your Letter of the 20th Novr we have received. It is our Desire
you would endeavour to get the Vessel off and have her with her Sails,
Rigging, and whatever else belongs to her, secured and taken Care of,
and appoint a Person to ascertain the Damage she has sustained and
transmit the Report to us. If the Vessel cannot be got off without
incurring a greater Expence than she will sell for, it is most advisable
to dispose of her as she lies, for Tobacco or Specie. It will be proper
for you to send the Military Stores to Annapolis with the Flour.
When you furnish an Account of the Expence that may attend this
Business, it shall be paid.

Eccleston Esqr for the use of David Mills, thirty four pounds, six-
teen shillings of the Bills emitted under the Act for the Emission of
Bills of Credit &ca of the money appropriated for the present Cam-
paign p Acel passed by the A. Genl.
That the said Treasurer pay to William Bayley two hundred and
forty five pounds, sixteen shillings and three pence, of the same
Emission of the money aforesaid to be delivd over to Doct. Walt.
Smith p Acct passed by the A Gl
That the said Treasurer pay to Thomas F. Eccleston one hundred
pounds of the Same Emission of the money appropriated for the
