Friday 5th July 1782

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to William Wilkins
three hundred and sixty four Pounds seven shillings and six Pence
Specie due him for his Attendance as a Commissioner to settle and
adjust the Accounts of the Troops &ca per Account passed.
That the said Treasurer pay to William Brown twenty Pounds,
seven shillings of the Bills emitted under the Act for the Emission
of Bills of Credit &ca due him per Account passed.
That the said Treasurer pay to John H. Stone Esqr forty Pounds
of the same Emission in part of his Salary on Account and also eighty
four Pounds, seven shillings and six pence of the same Bills due him
for half Pay as Colo from 1st of Jany to the 1st Instant per Account
passed.

We have it not now in our Power to purchase any Blankets for the
Invalids; but we will engage to have them provided by September at
all Events, and earlier if it can be done. As it is very probable that
the Prisoners are now without a Guard, we need not suggest the
Propriety of sending off the Invalids as soon as possible.

[Council to Honble Robert Morris Esqr]

Having undoubted Information that the Army under General
Greene is in the utmost Distress for Cloathing, and understanding
that there are an hundred Hogsheads of Cloathing destined for that
Army, which cannot be forwarded from Philadelphia for Want of the
Means of Transportation : We have the Honor to inform you that we
will undertake to furnish Money for the Transportation of them,
from the Head of Elk, if they cannot be otherwise forwarded, im-
mediately, although to do this, we shall be obliged to sell Specifics,
or other Property, at less than half the Value.
