Col Gale and M^r Francis from the Lower house acquaint his Ex-
cellency their house hath no Business before them
Benjamin Tasker Esq^r is sent to the Lower house to acquaint the
speaker that His Excellency requires him and the rest of the Members
of that house to attend him immediately in the Upper House to see
the Bills passed both Houses this Session receive the Assent
The whole House attend and by their Speaker present to his Ex-
cellency the following Bills Viz.
An Act reviving and continuing an Act of Assembly of this
Province Entituled an Act for the speedy recovery of small debts out
of Court before a single Justice of the Peace.
An Act to continue an Act Entituled an Act for raising a Duty
of three Pence p hh^d on all Tobacco exported out of this Province
for the Uses therein mentioned.
An Act to continue an Act of Assembly of this Province Entituled
an Act for the better Relief of poor Debtors.

making current ninety thousand pounds Current money of Mary-
land in Bills of Credit and to restrain some Evil Practices of
Sheriffs under Colour of the said Act committed
An Act for continuing an Act of Assembly of this Province
Entituled an Act to prevent cuting up Tobacco Plants destroying of
Tobacco and Tobacco houses and for ascertaining the Punishment of
Criminals guilty of the said Offences.
An Act for building a Publick Goal in Annapolis
An Act relating to the placing and building a Prison in Somer-
set County.
An Act Enabling the Comm^rs or Trustees for emitting the Bills
of Credit established by Act of Assembly to pay to the Representa-
tives of several Counties the sum of five hundred pounds Each
