That the said Treasurer pay to Lieut Stephen Shelmerdine
of the 4 Regimt Three thousand Dollars to be expended in
the Recruiting Service
That the said Treasurer pay to Capt John Bailey Twenty
four Pounds for the use of Lieut William Reiley of the 4 Regt
and also the further sum of Twelve Pounds for the use of
Thomas Edwards p Accts passed by the D Aud.
That the said Treasurer pay to William Tuttell twenty seven
Pounds due him p Acct passed by the Depy Aud.
That the said Treasurer pay to Henry Stevenson Twenty
Pounds, two shillings and six Pence to be delivered over to
Edward Stevenson per Acct passed by Depy Aud
That the Commissary of Stores deliver to Capt John Lynch
of 5 Reg 12yds. white Casmire & 2 pr Shoes
That the said Commissary deliver to Major Stoddert 8 yds
w' Casmire
That the said Commissary Deliver to Capt John Bailey 10
yds white Casmire for Lieut Thomas Cromwell of the 4 Regt
10 yds white Casmire for Lieut Armstrong of the 3d Regt and
12 yds do for Capt John Smith of the i Regimt

In Council Annapolis 29th May 1779
Sir
It is necessary in the present Situation of Affairs; that there
should be some Body to act, temporarily, as Quarter Master
Genl for the Militia to be collected eventually in Baltimore
We wish to have the Business conducted in the best Manner
and are confident it would be done so, if you would undertake
it. On this Occasion, we request you will & this is to impower
you to do so. Apply the Money belonging to the Public
which you have received, or if not received, pray receive it;
if more should be necessary, we will supply it

nier for the bringing by Water her Household Furniture and
