The further answere of the Mahikanders, Cattskills &
Esopus Indians, upon the propositions made to them yesterday
by Coll Phill Lloyd & Coll Henry Coursey agents of the Lord
Baltemor Lord and Propry of Maryland, and for all his Maj-
estys Subjects of Virginia and Maryland in the Court house of
Albany the 20th day of July 1682. viz.

1: Doe say that they thanke the Gentl of Maryland and
Virginia that they are come soe farr a journy to speake soe
freindly with them and that they are all one hart with them
doe give two ffaddern Zent
2: Wee have been in good freindship and Amity with the
Christians whilst they have been here, and desire that the
same may continue, and that there may be a good and upright
heart betwixt the Christians and them Doe give a Belt of Zen'
Thirteen Deepe:
3: Doe give a Belt of zewant or Peake wch they cann an
obligacon, whereby they doe oblige themselves that when their
Indians goe out a hunting shall doe noe harme or prejudice
to them of Maryland or Virginia nor to the Indians in amity
with them or under their Protection:
4: When Wee goe out a Bever hunting, Wee shall not
come to Maryland or Virginia, but shall goe more Westwards,
Doe give a Bever because they are goeing a Bever hunting.
5: Doe thank the Gentn of Maryland and Virginia that
because they being a great people, have thought them soe
worthy that are a small people as to speake to them, and doe
assure them that they have a good heart, as they of Maryland
and Virginia have, not shewed to them, Doe give a Bellt of
peake Eight Deepe:
