Photographs
A selection of photographs from the following collections will be
included in A New Body of Citizens:
Baltimore When She Was What She Used to Be Collection
Photographs, 1850-1930, of Baltimore and the changes which took
place in the city. Many of the photographs depict the streets,
workplaces, and environments familiar to the African-American
Community at that time, as well as African-Americans at work and at
play. The collection was created by Mame Warren during her work on
the book Baltimore When She Was What She Used to Be: A Pictorial

The Robert G. Merrick Archives of Maryland Historical
Photographs
Photographs from the period 1840-1940 illustrating a cross section
of Maryland life and culture, including transportation, recreation
sports, agriculture, watermen, cities and towns businesses and
shops, education, family life, resorts politics and parades. [MSA
SC 1477]
