Information:
In 1814, Lot 54 on High Street in Brookeville was owned by William
Layman, who purchased
lots 53 and 54 from Brookeville founder Richard
Thomas Jr. on July 26,
1806.1
In 1813, the two lots were valued at $25.2
Layman never built any structures on the property while it was
under his ownership. Layman
sold lot 53 to his niece, Elizabeth Layman, on October 20th, 1818.3
