Comments:
The first woman to sit on the Orphans Court of Baltimore City and appointed to the Supreme Bench of Baltimore City, by Governor J. Millard Tawes. Appointed to U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, 1979-1982 by President Jimmy Carter. This portrait is almost identical to the one that hangs in the Federal Courthouse except that in this portrait the Maryland state flag and seal are displayed.
