Born in Lititz, PA, November 19, 1928.  Attended public schools of Harrisburg and Shippensburg, PA; Shippensburg State College; State Teacher's College at Indiana, PA, B.S., 1955; University of Maryland Law School, J.D., 1961.  Admitted to the Maryland Bar, 1962.  Married; six children and three grandchildren.

General Assembly:
Member of Senate, 1967-71.

Private Career and Other Public Service:
Served as staff sergeant in U.S. Air Force, 1947-51.  Private law practice; retired 1992 to Red Creek, West Virginia.  Member, Allegany County Bar Association; Maryland State Bar Association; Potomac Lodge 100 AF & AM; Scottish Rite; Ali Ghan Temple; American Legion Post 13; Amvets Post No. 11; Air Force Sergeants Association; Air Force Association; 56th Fighter Group Association; Lancaster Mennonite Historical Society; AARP; Fraternal Order of Eagles, Cresaptown; St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Davis, West Virginia.
