Member, American, Maryland, and Talbot County Bar Associations; The American Judicature Society; Odd Fellows; Elks; Knights of Pythias; American Legion; VFW; Masons; Moose; Shrine; American Ordnance Association. Member of Christ Church, Easton, where he served as a Lector. Member of the Talbot County Bar Association, the Maryland Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.

Born in Tilghman, August 25, 1922, the son of Robert Risdon North Jr., and Effie Elva Tarr North.  Died September 23, 1998. Attended Easton public schools; University of Baltimore, LL.B., 1947. Member of the Maryland Bar. Served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Married Vivian Marina Butt of Annapolis, April 25, 1953; two sons, John Clarence North, Jr. of Indianapolis, Ind., and Steven Matthew North of Easton; a daughter, Amy North Gagnon of Savage; two sisters, Edna N. Henry and Eva N. Hubbard, both of Easton; and a brother, Robert North Jr., of Annapolis; two grandchildren.
