Born in Centreville, August 15, 1915. Died in Easton, June 7, 1997. Attended the public schools of Centreville. Washington College, 1938. George Washington University Law School, 1941. Served with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theatre during World War II, receiving commendations; discharged as a Lieutenant in 1946. Attorney. Member of American Legion Post No. 18, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 7464, Maryland State Bar Association and the Washington College Alumni Association. Married April 19, 1952, Marjorie Belt, who died December 31, 1989. Survived by a son, David Edward Turner, a daughter-in-law, Donna Smith Turner; two stepgrandchildren, Billy Knotts, and Heather Knotts, all of Centreville. A brother, Bedford Hackett Turner Jr., died in December 1992.
