Nanking Porcelain Dinner Service
"Well and Tree Pattern"


This dinner set was bequeathed to the Peabody Institute by Charles F. Mayer former president of the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Company. In his will, it states that certain pieces of china and glass ware were to be donated "for the purpose of making a museum of household art".
