The front door of the Hammond-Harwood House in Annapolis, MD. The house was built between 1774-1778, and its front door is considered to be the most beautiful door in 18th century architecture.

MSA SC 1804-263: Medical Hall, Harford County, MarylandMSA SC 1804-263

The front hall of Medical Hall in Harford County, c. 1930. Medical Hall was built around 1799 by Dr. John Archer, who was the first person to recieve a medical degree from an American college. The wallpaper in the front hall depicts scenes from France after the French Revolution, and dates from the early to mid nineteenth century.
