The Old Senate Chamber with mannequin of George Washington in replica of the uniform he wore on December 23, 1783 when he came before the Continental Congress to resign his commission as Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Army.

The mannequin and uniform were gifts of the Maryland Society of Senates Past and the Colonial Dames of America, Chapter One.
