THIS MAP'S MAIN FEATURE IS THE SAINT JEROME OYSTER CULTURAL AND EXPERIMENTAL STATION NEAR ST. JEROME'S PT., WHICH IS IDENTIFIED IN LARGE LETTERS AND WHOSE POSITION IS MARKED BY AN ARROW. THE AREA DEPICTED IS ON THE WESTERN SHORE OF THE BAY JUST NORTH OF THE MOUTH OF THE POTOMAC RIVER. THERE IS EXTENSIVE TOPOGRAPHIC INFORMATION, BUT NO HYDROGRAPHIC DATA.
