THE MAP IS CRUDELY DRAWN, BUT SHOWS THE MOUNTAINS IN THE REGION BY SYMBOLS. THE MAJOR ROADS AND RAILROADS ARE SHOWN. THE LOCATION OF THE CONTENDING FORCES IS INCLUDED. THE MAP SHOWS MOST OF THE CHESAPEAKE BAY AREA, BUT IS ON SUCH A SMALL SCALE THAT THE REGION IS NOT SIGNIFICANT. THE MAP WAS INCLUDED ON PAGE 199 OF THE MARCH 29, 1862 ISSUE OF HARPER'S WEEKLY.
