FROM BALTIMORE TO NORFOLK IS THOUGHT TO HAVE BEEN DONE AROUND 1861
TO SHOW THE BATTLE AREAS IN CONTENTION DURING THE EARLY CIVIL WAR.
THE LITHOGRAPH IS EXECUTED IN SUCH A WAY THAT IT GIVES A THREE
DIMENSIONAL APPEARANCE TO THE LAND. THE CHESAPEAKE BAY DRAINAGE
AREA IS GRAPHICALLY DEPICTED. THE MAIN TOWNS, CITIES, ROADS,
BRIDGES, AND SOME RAILROADS ARE SHOWN. THIS IS ONE OF VERY FEW MAPS
OR VIEW OF THE CHESAPEAKE AND MARYLAND WITH SOUTH AT THE TOP. ANS.
