IN NEW YORK BY MORSE AND GASTON. THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THAT THE
BOOK WAS PRINTED BY C.S. ALVORD INSTEAD OF E.O. JENKINS, PLUS SOME
ADDITIONAL EXPLANATIONS. THE MAP APPARENTLY WAS UNCHANGED IN ALL
THE VARIOUS PUBLICATIONS.
LONGITUDE IS MEASURED WEST FROM GREENWICH IN THE BOTTOM MARGIN AND
WEST AND EAST FROM WASHINGTON IN THE TOP MARGIN.
COLBY WAS BORN IN 1830 AND DIED IN 1866. HE WAS THE EDITOR OF
MORSE'S GENERAL ATLAS OF THE WORLD.
DATA IS FROM PHILLIPS ATLASES AND FROM TOOLEY'S
DICTIONARY.
