  • Map and profile route of the Wilmington and Susquehanna Railroad laid down from surveys made under the personal direction of William Strickland civil engr. by John C. Trautwine, principal assist. engr.. This is one of the earliest of railroad maps for Maryland, aside from those made for the B & O. It shows the proposed route for a line between Wilmington, Del. and North East, Md. It is from The Journal of the Franklin Institute of April, 1835. 1835. MSA SC 1399-1-658-1 [HFC 335T5]
