To the American Philosophical Society this map of the peninsula between Delaware & Chesopeak Bays with the said bays and shores adjacent drawn from the most accurate surveys is inscribed by John Churchman... This is state 1 of a large scale separate map that focuses on the Delmarva Peninsula. It shows five proposed routes for the Chesapeake-Delaware canal.
