MSA SC 5496-51596
Jailed as fugitive slave from Somerset County, 1846
Biography:
Samuel Conway was jailed in Baltimore as a
fugitive slave in 1846. He was released on May 7, the same day he was
admitted. Presumably his Somerset County owner Robert Conway, or his
agent, came to claim Samuel.
